2 out of 4 hits is better than the police averages I have seen published (usually around 1 out of 5).

Atlanta suburburb Ellenwood, GA

Bread delivery guy sees employees running out of Hardees. Goes inside with his gun. Robber raises gun, bread guy shoots four times, two hits. Robber manages to run away, holes up in house with kids inside. SWAT surrounds house, eventually kids released and robber gives up, taken to hospital to treat GSWs, then booked into jail.
Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill released a statement praising Chilton for intervening and risking his life, ABC News reports.

Hill said he was so impressed with Chilton for “defending those who could not defend themselves” that he made the truck driver an honorary deputy and inducted him into the Sheriff’s Posse Hall of Fame.
