For some reason it reminds me of an amusing incident from high school.

This guy in my class, kind of an obnoxious knothead, bought a brand new KZ-400 motorcycle one summer, and was pretty proud of it. He also had eyes on this cute girl in the class behind ours. He talked about her a lot, and hung around, but was shy about asking her out.

We are all in gaggle at the county fair one night, Mr Knothead is front and center showing off his new bike. Mr. Knothead's best friend asked him if he could take the KZ-400 for a spin. Knothead said yes, so his friend turns right around, asks the cute girl if she'd like to go for ride, and rides off into the dark with her for about an hour while Knothead cursed a blue streak and kicked things...and the rest of couldn't stop laughing.
