Same-same with air bases and airports. Developers buy cheap land near a runway, (wonder why it is so cheap? :banghead: ), builds houses, people buy them for cheaper (wonder why so cheap? :banghead: ) and then get surprised and annoyed when jets fly over. :shock: I think we had a discussion on this board awhile back about an instance where a city and the legislature and whatall were intervening (on the air force's side) in lawsuit against an air force base out in AZ.

Glock has a problem with this at their Georgia plant. They built 20 years ago in an area zoned light industrial. People built houses in a subdivision right next to them, altho it is still zoned light industrial. Now Glock wants to expand on their own land, but needs a couple variances on watershed and whatnot to do it the way they want. The subdivision now has its panties in wad (GUNS! CHILDREN) and oh by the way, they'd drop the opposition if Glock would build them a park and give them a huge chunk of money for their HOA... :banghead:
