Ditto on your son hiring the best attorney he can.

If you are the male in a divorce, you are guilty until proven innocent, and even then, even if squeaky clean and have done everything by the book, it still may not matter much.

Lawyer up, don't be sentimental, and play for keeps. The court system is not designed for two reasonable people to duke it out, it is designed to pit adversary against adversary, and the best fighter/lawyer wins.

Audio and video are your friend if you are behaving yourself and the others -- DIL, cops, whoever -- are not.

Get a lawyer and consult with him or her on everything.
