That wasn't my point though. It doesn't matter if the signs were correct. People on this forum get their panties in a bunch because HEB or Whataburger want to dictate the manner of carry in their stores. This church does not want any carry in their church. Perhaps they should look at the unarmed church in South Carolina.
While I agree they have to be conspicuously posted, they are not required to be on the buildings themselves, which is what I thought your original point was. In addition, churches fall under PC 46.035, and states:
(g) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor, unless the offense is committed under Subsection (b)(1) or (b)(3), in which event the offense is a felony of the third degree.
If they are hidden behind shrubs, it sounds like one could argue they didn't receive effective notice, unless of course one actually saw the sign.
