My case is exactly as Schooley has posted. I was discharged within the last year so I paid $0.00 However, I still will have to pay the $25 renewal fee once it comes up. I just thought it was funny my DL has Veteran but my CHL doesn't.Pawpaw wrote:I did my renewal this time last year and sent a copy of my retired ID card. Mine has "Veteran" on it. You did go for the reduced fee, right?casp625 wrote:Out of curiosity, does anyone have "Veteran" put on their CHL? I sent in my DD-214 and when I received the CHL, it wasn't printed on it. However, my driver's license has Veteran on it...
@infantrymac: I had to go to the DPS with my DD214 and they scanned it into the system. From there, I believe they just checked a box that stated I was a veteran and it was printed on my DL.
