Re: Houston Area Lead Bullet Casters
I tried locating them since I live in Pearland which is right next door to Friendswood. Their website has closed down but at one time you could contact them through Facebook. I don't do FB, so you're on your own with that. I did read somewhere that the city shut them down because of the lead issue a...

Re: Going back to reloading .38 after 25 years off
I've been reloading 38 Special for my 82 year old Mom's Ruger LCR. For her target practice rounds I load a light round of: Win 231, 3.8 grains, 876 fps, 125 gr LRNFP (lead round nose flat point) She broke her wrist a few years back so the 125 gr is easier on her. She'll shoot through 50 rounds at th...

Do you carry the firearm in a holster?
Maybe something like this would work for you.

Re: Working overseas - CHL and DL keep or what???
I took a "temporary" job in New Jersey for two years and kept my licenses active here in Texas at my parents address.
If you get a Driver's license overseas you may need to surrender your Texas DL.
I'll neither confirm nor deny taking a handgun with me.

Re: 2016 Application Watch - post your 2016 timelines here
I sent in a request for my wife's renewal license. DPS received payment on May 14, 2016. She still has not received her renewal license as of July 22, 2016. Nothing has changed since she first received the original license. The Status page still shows her background check and finger prints are &quo...

Re: Too good at shooting, the court will convict you?
Wouldn't someone capable of making a smaller target, leg or arm shot, rather than someone making a center mass, much larger target, be considered a better marksman?
I would think so.
Just my opinion.

Re: Who's Now Keeping A Truck Rifle/Carbine?
I do not but have been strongly considering. My question is how do you store yours? Drive an F150, plenty of space under back seat I guess. Been considering a pistol grip 12 gauge or a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 ( not always an easy find ). Many moons ago I had a gun rack in the rear window of my truck, but ...

Re: Marksman Indoor Range in South Houston
Marksman was the first range I ever shot at starting back in 1968 when I was 11. My Dad took me and others from my Scout Troop 251 there for our Rifle and Shotgun merit badge. The My Mom and Dad shot there for many years since it is only about five miles from their house. I now take my Mom who is 82...

Re: 7.62 to .308?
Sizing with the .308 is your only option. A 7.62 die does not exist in the US ( maybe in Europe). If you do the math they are one in the same. If loading for a bolt action the neck sizing die or the full sizing die may be all you need. If loading for a semi auto you may need a small base die. Are th...
