I follow the GLOCK section of AR15 and the 42's "Perfection" in the early months of it's release was lacking. Several changes were made which I seem to recall where in the receiver & magazine area. Some of the Glock informal experts were hard pressed to identify the details other than part numbers which are obvious or other symbols or character marks less obvious as part numbers. Glock never came forward with any public notification of change (typical). Current production specimens seem to run well.Crash wrote:I've fired only about 85 rounds through my new Glock 42 but have had a number of failures to feed or failure to eject with several different types of HP ammo--no problems with FMJ. Anybody else having these problems? I'm going to shoot another 200 rounds of FMJ through if and if there are no problems I'll start using HPs again. If I have more problems with it, the gun's going back to Glock for repair.

Used or NOS guns may need a trip back to Glock. There is at least one URL site I saw many months ago that has details of the changes that has or could be identified.
Good Luck with your 42.
