Not me, but most people who put these kind of signs up are not the kind that would care to reply to such sound logic.

I hope that the letters to Great Wolfe keep going. I'd sure like to see the sign come down becuase of the volume of educated letters from men and women like us. I have to stay the night there in the spring...

I have sent the letter as well, but changed it a bit as seen below. I will keep this letter to use for other establishments.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have seen your new 30.06 sign and I will follow your wishes by never doing business with you while I am lawfully carrying a concealed handgun under Section 30.06 of the Texas Penal Code.

What you’re telling the hundreds of thousands of armed Texans, and growing daily, is that you do not want our “kind” in your establishment. Done.

Concealed handgun licensees are among the most law-abiding citizens in our state. We have passed a rigorous investigation by local, state and federal authorities. We have never had any felony convictions or any misdemeanour convictions in the last 10 years. We have been trained in handgun safety. We have been fingerprinted and documented and have done this at our own expense.

It is clear there is not an increased safety risk by allowing concealed handguns, quite the contrary. We are trained to handle our weapons. The perceived risk is unfounded…a false sense of security. We inherently provide a safer environment for all around us.

For these reasons, I, and my family, and numerous friends and acquaintances are not going to do business with you any longer. We will choose an environment that does not limit our freedoms, such as the Gaylord right across highway 26.

I will start documenting your choice at all website that tracks businesses that post the 30.06 statue such as http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Your establishment is now on that list, and it keeps law-abiding citizens aware of dangerous places to stay away from.
