I don't have Russian keys on this computer, my alternate boards are at home, so I tried to stay simple with only English comparable letters. And I wasn't trying to say "not yet" anyway. Read up a ways, you'll see why I put that. I don't know what "NYET" means, but it isn't in my vocabulary of words. In an amendment to its tough gun control laws, the Russian government eases restrictions, allowing citizens to carry licensed weapons for the purposes of ‘self-defense.’
Until now Russian gun enthusiasts were only permitted to carry firearms for hunting or target shooting after obtaining a license through the Interior Ministry. Russian gun licenses are to be renewed every five years, and applicants face strict background checks and are required to take gun safety courses. That would be a good way to start better relations! Why not try? What's the worst they can say, NO?
They wouldn't say "NO", they'd say "NYET!"
<EDIT> (NOTE: Sorry for no translation. "No, you say "HET" {NO}, not "NYET".

(Sorry for going a bit overboard, I am not asking for replies to this. I am not attempting to force anything upon anybody, and I am saying IMHO what I believe.)

Re: Russia relaxing gun control
Still no good, you can buy a gun in Russia, and you have 10 days now to export/leave with it. Nothing for carrying while in the country, darn. Oh well, way to go Ruskies, getting your rights back! I would like to see their murder rate drop massively, that would be a good proofing for us over here that guns in citizens hands really do prevent crime.Charlies.Contingency wrote:Oh, I will.
