we can only hope so...govnor wrote:The story says he was also injured in the foot. I wonder if 'ol Rayshaun shot himself in the foot when he realized he'd been hit. I'm sure he had his finger on the trigger at all times no matter whether he was pointing it at his foot or somewhere else.

caliber and distance are irrelevant.. I have seen people use pistols effectively out past 50 yards, shotguns out to 100 with slugs. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that they might be so capable and the CHL was reasonable to assume this as well.
now weather he shot Mr Johnson in the buttocks deliberately or missed the 10-ring under stress, we will never know, because to admit such opens the door for 'reasonable doubt' as to his mindset and plausibility of 'fear for his life'.. unfortunately, the shooter is wide open for civil lawsuit, being several months short of the 'castle doctrine'..
prepare to contribute to his legal fees, after some ACLU shyster get's a hold of Mr. Johnson (presumably at his Criminal Trial)..

as said in several of the stories police are also investigating a smash and grab robbery at Military Gun Supply, where the BG's drove a stolen Suburban through the front window and made off with 10 assault weapons. These types of smash and grab have been done at Barber's, Gibson's and Doc's to name a few. The one at Doc's failed since his cinderblock walls are reinforced with rebar.
It will be interesting to see if Mr Johnson rolls over on his buddies and how far this goes, although I think the MGS robbery is probably unrelated.
