They fitted a "Reverse" plug there. Normally used for bull barrels and/or Full Length Guide Rods. Not sure why they did that to that gun with bushing.

New recoil springs do have to take a set before they start working correctly.

If you have a barrel bushing, you do not have a bull barrel.
