That's weird! Gunmaster is a Kimber Master Dealer.03Lightningrocks wrote:Careful about this guy. He did a butcher job on the sights for my Kimber. Instead of pressing them in the way he was suppose to do, he decided the Kimber rep didn't know what they were talking about and took a grinder of some kind to the sights Kimber sent me and the slot they are suppose to slide into on my slide. Result...sights fell off again and the dove tail for the sights is obviously ground out. I won't be giving them a second chance at hacking away on my guns.AEA wrote:Gunmaster in Plano does sights while peeps wait......not sure about XD's though, give them a call!
They installed a set of night sights on a Colt Officers ACP for me once before. They cut the dove tail for the new front sight and all. Really good work. It was not a "while I waited job" though and after it was done I tested it at the Bullet trap and found it to be off a bit. Drove back to Gunmaster and told them and they made the required adjustment while I waited. I went back to the Bullet Trap and it was perfect.
No, I am not standing up for them or do I have anything to do with them, but I can't imagine anything happening like this on a Kimber. I am also not saying you are less than truthful, I am only saying that if this did occur, you should contact Kimber directly and complain and provide proof of what happened and you might be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
