It's been 4 years since my first class. I don't recall much other than a few Ladies that had NEVER held a gun in their life and a couple that actually thought the class was going to be a Handgun Learning Class!

I do remember two guys that had MANY questions about eligibility and they did not come back to the class after the first coffee break!

All in all it was good. I had a new (used) OACP that I was going to qualify with. I had run it thru it's paces a few days before. When we got on the range, the very first thing the Instructor did was physically check ALL weapons for safety. He found that my grip safety was not functioning and disqualified the gun. I had to get a rental and shoot the Qual. I later fixed the grip safety on that gun and carried it for the first 2 years or so.

Sunday the 28th I will be taking my Renewal Class. It will be interesting to see what types of people are in it and the difference between it and the first class.
