How about putting it on in a thin layer first? Maybe the little beasites would avoid you altogether?Crossfire wrote:A pharmacist told us to use Vicks Vapor Rub. Same active ingredients. It is messier than Chigarid, but it does stop the itching. For awhile.

How about we take this one step removed; what if you came upon that scene while carrying.
What would/could you do?

Re: Dove season !!!
You guys should try it in Argentina. High volume dove hunting. The only limit is how sore your shoulder gets after shooting 1000 rds. Rent a gun from the guides, otherwise prepare to ruin your shotgun. They donate the ones you don't eat to the locals and the farmers are happy to thin the population...

Looking for a new CCW holster
I am hoping someone can help me find my perfect holster (there are sooo many out there). I currently have a Remora IWB with the sweat shield and for the most part, I like it, but a couple of days ago I was standing around talking with some friends and my gun and holster hit the floor. I wear cargo s...

Re: CHL Holders kill man Breaking Into Neighbor's Home
The one I am looking at in my hand says specifically "Legal representation anywhere in Texas by our lawyers for any and all 1) Police investigations, 2) Grand Jury Proceeding, 3) Criminal and/or Civil Trials" The third one seems to cover that 'big hole'. Which one are you looking at? [Pre...

Re: CHL Holders kill man Breaking Into Neighbor's Home
That's a very interesting qualification, as all of them are sold "verbally" as covering the costs of your legal defense. Most people just believe what they hear. They should say, "We'll cover the costs of defending you, unless a grand jury thinks you might be guilty...." Yea, bi...

Another vote for the M&P Shield 9mm. I usually shoot a Ruger P-89 and a Browning BPH (both 9mm). I am not a 'super shot' by any means, but at 5 yards I can make a pattern the size of my palm while picking the Ruger up from the bench and firing within 2 seconds; one shot per 'pick up'. If I take ...

I honestly have no problem with a psych eval. I mean, if you're in a position as a teacher / leadership, shouldn't you be able to pass one? At what point does a spotless record become proof that a psych eval is not needed? I mean, I would think that walking the earth for 50 years (or some number le...

Pretty sure that's why there is an appeals process...Judges and juries always rule by the letter of the law. They never make decisions based on their own interpretation of what they believe to be the intent of the law or what they feel the law should be. (Sarcasm off)

Re: CHL Holders kill man Breaking Into Neighbor's Home
(1) They did not call 911 (at least the article doesn't say they did) (2) They went in searching for an intruder instead of waiting on Police (3) They shot the suspect as he was running away and the threat was over. The report did not say if the suspect had anything with him. (4) It was not their p...
