I get selected every time I go for my summons. I guess it would be funny to make a video of some folks who show up for jury duty. To me it seems contrived to keep from getting selected. I have heard way too many lame excuses from folks trying to support their answers to the questions.

People doing just about anything to dodge jury duty. I do get it. It is not fun and it does create a financial strain when selected. I know. I get picked every time. One time the trial lasted 33 days. It was a medical malpractice case. Learned at the very end from the judge that this particular case would have never happened if the complainant had waited until after Sept. 1. Texas law changed to block these type of frivolous suits.

I had to burn my vacation and sick days to keep the checks coming in. When I returned to the project I was on and the client heard that I had been on jury duty, they instructed my agency to bill them for my hours as if I had been at work. Got my vacation and sick days back.

I will always be grateful to that client.

On the opposite hand, based on the antics of people trying not to get selected, I probably would not want to serve with someone who is so shallow and self consumed. They would be a hindrance on the jury.
