I'd guess he realized his actions could get him in trouble at work or with the law, saw the responses and regretted posting this. Hopefully he learned something.

It is illegal for him to intentionally display or OC at his supervisor's BBQ. (unless there is a sporting activity in which guns are commonly used or they are hunting)
