Wow, sorry to hear that. Sounds like you did the right thing. Hopefully it gets processed soon!slr001 wrote:I was hung up on when I asked to speak to a supervisor.TVGuy wrote:You spoke to someone and they hung up on you? For both this go-around and the time I had a CHL before I encountered nothing but professionalism form anyone I ever spoke with at DPS. It's not the best process ever and they can't always give you an answer because of that, but they were nice at least.
Earlier in the call she told me I hadn't sent in the paperwork. When I told her I had and I knew they had it she put me on hold for 20 sec and came back and had mysteriously found my paperwork. She told me the 60 day clock started now because she just got the paperwork (I was already at 60 days). That is when I asked for a supervisor and got hung up on.

Soon, Pluto. Soon. My wife's status changed 2 days before mine and they were sent and received the same day.Pluto wrote:As if waiting couldn't get any worse...my girlfriend (which submitted exactly the same time I did) just got her little bullet options when she signs in...and I don't have mine. Re: May 2014
60 days is about the norm. I really don't think people should call until then as it just takes time away from them being able to actually process applications.
It's not the best process in the world, but we just have to deal with it. After 60 days call, write your rep, do whatever you feel is necessary.

Re: May 2014
Both my wife and I submitted final paperwork that was received by DPS on 5/14. Her status changed this morning to the "options menu", I'm still on the mostly blank page. Right on that 50-60 day timeframe.

Re: May 2014
Just got off the phone and they were not very helpful. Said the wait would be 56 minutes, but only ended up being 33. I'm sitting @ 50 days and just wanted to make sure they have everything. He said it was sitting at about 2 months before mailed materials were even being entered to start the process.

Completely agree.infoman wrote:The law book states they have 60 days, not sure why you have a big beef with that? I get contacting your rep if they go beyond 60 days, but all you're doing is bogging them down spending all day answering legislative action sheets. (instead of processing paperwork). CHL has increased like 300%, their manpower has increased 0%, do the math.

I just don't even see how 11 days is possible. I know I'm new here, but I'm skeptical on that. Is there a single other person that's ever heard of anything close to that time?kebn51 wrote:CR88 wrote:Just got my plastic today and I couldn't be happier. 11 days from mailbox to mailbox.
