Can't you just use your sales tax ID that you already have? If it's a corporation you should be able to run your gun business under that umbrella. I'm also a business owner and my tax ID is under my name. I would call the state first, but I think you can use the same one for all of your businesses under one corporation. I'm not sure though, thus the phone call to them.

If you don't have a tax ID yet, it's easy to get. Just go to the state comptroller. You can do all of this online.
