From looking at the news over the years. Home invasions that include rape or "sexual assault" involve one of two things. Either the victim was targeted by the scum or they kicked the door in and guess what? There's a hot chic in the house so let's rape her!

In the infamous one in Wichita (Wichita massacre), the creeps knocked on the door and someone opened it. The two less than humans proceeded to do all kinds of heinous stuff to the inhabitants before killing them. One survived to tell the tale. The police believe it was random or they got the wrong house.

I know of another case that happened in Arlington. No, I don't have documentation since it happened years ago, but know someone that knows them. A woman would see this black guy eyeing her up from his bike all the time when she was working in the yard. One night they woke up to find him over her husband with a butcher's knife slitting his throat. His intention was to get into the house and rape her. I think the guy was 17-18 at the time. So they fought him off and both miraculously lived through it. It came up because the subhuman was being released from jail and they were afraid he might come back. If this was my situation, his release would be a blessing to me since then I could then finally get my hands on him.

In case after case it seems that most home invasions happen after someone opens the door for someone, or there is an unlocked door or window.

I don't trust anyone and if I did open the door, which would be a rare occurrence, I would have a gun in hand.

If I'm asleep and someone breaks in, the dog would freak, the alarm would go off and I would be up with a shotgun (or AR) and flashlight in hand. I'd probably hear it anyway since I'm a light sleeper. My bedroom door is also locked when I'm asleep and I have a jam on it anyway. You'd have to break the door off the hinges to get in.

Yeah, a little bit strange for most folks in the suburb. I don't care though. I sleep well at night.

Most people that live in nice neighborhoods don't own guns or even think about someone breaking in. That or someone with evil intentions knocking on the door. Most people are sheep walking around waiting to be slaughtered.

Back on topic.

I say more power to 'em! Strip clubs ought to be shut down and made illegal in the entire country. Same goes for the adult bookstores. Nothing good comes from any of them...no moral or social redeeming value whatsoever.
Well, although I'm not a patron of strip clubs or adult bookstores, I don't think they should necessarily be illegal. I'm just saying that the cops already have enough REAL crime going on to worry about something as silly as this.

I mean, what do you care if someone wants to look at a naked woman and pays to do so? I've never understood that logic. Yeah, if they were putting the club in next door to you or in your neighborhood then you would have something to complain about. It's something that doesn't affect you at all. I guess it's the Libertarian in me. You know, the Nazi's made everything illegal that they didn't agree with. I'm not saying you are one, but it's a slippery slope.

Many are the result of ugly divorces. I read about one woman who was charged because she got out of the shower naked in front of her children. They might beat the rap if they can afford a good lawyer, but they often can't.

In some states, all sex between minors is a crime unless they are married. It's even possible to marry a young girl in some states and be considered a sex offender in others.

Something like this happened to my cousin. He was a youth minister and at a youth camp that I went to as a kid. The boys and girls are separated. My cousin was a dorm pastor, so he stayed in a room with a bunch of boys. A pastor's wife came around to that side of the dorm where she wasn't supposed to be and apparently they had the door to the dorm open. Everyone was taking showers because they were getting ready for chapel, which they have every night. He walks around the corner and his towel falls off or he dropped it because he was about to get dressed. No big deal anyway, since everyone was always popping each other with towels when I was a kid. The showers aren't one big stall, but it's like going to the gym, where you get dressed in the actual dorm. Some people walk around naked.

So anyway, she sees him naked and accuses him of molesting boys. They even got some boys to say he did something. He made the Dallas Morning News as a result of this. He voluntarily took a lie detector test and passed with no problems. The boys that said he did something later recanted their stories, since nothing did really happen. He went to court and was found not guilty of all charges, so is not a sex offender.

Turns out that the pastor's wife sued the camp because they were looking for cash. They ended up getting a couple hundred grand and the pastor and his wife were divorced shortly afterwards.

I've known this guy my whole life and one thing I can tell you for SURE is that he isn't interested in boys or men, period. He ain't gay. He loved being a youth minister and still was for several years after he was exonerated and still works for his father's church. Just goes to show that if someone accuses you of some sex crime, you have to prove that you aren't guilty. It's supposed to be the other way around.

I'm also not saying that real sex offenders should be given a break either. Those guys that showed up in Murphy obviously had some intent to do something. They even had the chat logs. Those are the people that should be locked up. Not someone that is accused because someone has a grudge against them or wants money.

I find it extremely hard to believe that any judge would issue an arrest warrant for some generic "sex crime" where the only PC (if you could even call it that, in the proposed scenario) is the suspect's current employment.
Well, I'm not sure what the exact charge was, but it could have caused him to be a sex offender...I do remember that much. He had to fight it. The vice also goes into strip clubs around here and if the girl touches them in any way, I mean even on the shoulder or something, while she's dancing...they put a warrant out for her arrest and she doesn't know it until she gets pulled over the next time.

The reason to have a gun is not sex offenders. At least not the ones living in Grapevine! I live about a mile from there. If you have children, or a hot looking wife, like I do, then yes, sex offenders are an issue. I doubt they're prowling around their own neighborhood though. If you look at most of their pictures online you could probably stomp them like a gnat. They are usually wusses, the people who do that type of thing. Ugly too. Can of bear mace and a baseball bat is a better end for them.

I had a friend that almost became a sex offender because he at one time worked in an adult book store. You know, where they sell the videos. He hadn't worked there in two years and got arrested after being pulled over for a warrant he didn't know he had. Apparently, the vice squad goes in and checks the payroll for employees and then puts warrants out on them for sex crimes. Luckily he was able to afford a good lawyer and beat the charge. This guy is the type that would never commit a real sex offense. He just needed a job.
