Re: iPhone Issue
I just checked and had the same issue. I don't know why this works, but try turning off the wifi from your phone's control center. Then, using only cellular connection, try loading the site again. might take a couple of tries. It should load fine now. then just turn the wifi back on and it'll work l...

Re: Window Air Conditioner, Reliable Brands?
I've been happy with Arctic King. The 5000btu is all manual; no remote or digital display. I bought it to use with a generator for hurricane season last year. Ended up using it nearly every night to sleep cold. The filter is prone to jam up if removed/replaced too forcefully. no big deal. I also bou...

Re: Lost 100% hearing in one ear....
Here’s my 2 cents: I woke up one morning deaf in both ears. I too, am a musician. I saw 4 ENTs and an audiologist. No luck. Not even conductive hearing. A year later, the local Deaf & Hard of Hearing Center tested me. I could hear a little, very faintly. But the tinnitus was still louder. I got ...

Re: Preferred online ammo dealer
I’ve used FreedomMunitions several times. Their 357sig stuff is top notch. The reman is around $15/box, and the new stuff isn’t much more.

Re: Question on traveling on AA with ammo in the suitcase
You can check up to 11 lbs of ammo. It must be in the manufacturer’s original packaging OR an other container specifically designed to hold the ammo (like those plastic flip-top boxes at academy.). Ammo in magazines is not allowed, and that is an AA rule, not tsa or faa. Delta is cool with it in mag...

Re: Favorite carry method?
Appendix carry 75% of the time. That's with subcompacts or a j-frame. It's comfortable, 100% concealed and as a bonus, when the girlfriend backhands me in the gut after a smart remark - I get a good laugh. The rest f the time I carry IWB at 4:00. Very occasionally I'll get on a week-long kick for OW...

Re: Double-Action Only Semi-Automatic Pistol
I bought a Beretta Pico .380 specifically because it’s DAO (and very concealable!). The trigger pulls the hammer back on each shot. The slide does not cock it. I’m quite satisfied with this pistol and carry it regularly.

Re: This is why I love Ted Nugent.
I had a nice, long sit-down conversation with the man once, totally out of the blue. I went up to him at an airport, waiting on our plane. Totally approachable guy. I only asked to shake his hand but he grabbed mine, said “sit down, brother. Talk to me a while.” I will attest that he is one of the f...

Re: Brookline Massachusetts Wants to Register Security Camera Owners
They have the optional registration here in Corpus Christi, too. I thought, “great idea!”, and then read all the fine print saying I would then be “required” to give access when requested. Nay, I say! I’ve given video to investigating officers twice, as well as an arson investigator because it was t...

Re: Alligator defense question
I have no personal experience in this, but an old coworker used to hunt alligators, legally. He only used a crossbow since “no bullet is effective”, he’d say. His scary story was when on a Jon boat, he inadvertently came too close to a nesting mama gator. It nearly broke the boat in half. Caught off...

Re: Medical Facilities
I think I've visited an extraordinary number of medical facilities as of late, both for myself and my folks, and I made a conscious effort to observe the many differences. First off - I saw that most doctor's offices I visited inside a medical building are not posted and stand alone offices are post...

Re: Arizona Timeline
I did the Arizona cwp 3 years ago. 60 days exactly to my mailbox. I got it because it was only $60, they accepted a copy of my chl-100 for training, and it’s good to have a backup. At the time, it added a couple states for me. Real smooth process.

Re: TX: TSA misses handgun, owner turns self in
Sadly, this happens more often than any one person knows. I spent many years at the airport observing security checkpoints. Pre-TSA was a joke I frequently passed with prohibited items undetected (as a test!). TSA brought the technology and it could be 100% effective if it weren't for the human fact...

Re: OK: Woman shoots ex-boyfriend-stalker-invader
Sounds almost identical to a friend of mine’s incident. The ex boyfriend broke in via a window, girlfriend locked herself in the bathroom, my friend hit the ex 5 times with .357 magnum and the guy still crawled to the bathroom and ripped the door off the hinges before passing out from blood loss. PC...
