It did seem too far out there but, with the current political make up of the Congress and Der Obama in the White House you never know. I am glad to see this is one of those items that is always introduced and always flops, you just hope that nobody sneaks one by when we are not looking.
Thanks guys!

This just got airtime on Fox News this morning. I can just see the collective as outraged as some of us......I patiently wait the day of political in-correctness. It is near.

Re: So Obama is up by 10+ points?
lawrnk, I have a handful of friends similar to yours. It seems all things that were important to them in previous elections.....2 amend / Pro Life and such are not even priorities at this juncture. I am baffled at their lapse in principles. It almost seems as if they are so engulfed in the hype and ...

Re: Redoing fingerprints
FBI cannot process background without prints. Where you are at in the process depends upon who discovered the bad prints. DPS reviews them prior to sending to the FBI and if they find them unacceptable the process holds there while they wait for your new ones. If they actually sent to the FBI and th...

Re: TRACE NUMBER
You should have recieved a PIN in the mail. Your PIN will be a Letter followed by four numbers i.e.. X1234 you would log into the DPS Site http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASApp/txdps/chl/common/jsp/selectTask.jsp and follow the prompts for checking the status. If you did not get your PIN you wil...

Re: ASK Campaign
I often ask most of my neighbors, however my intent is to help them purchase one if they do not have one. I have helped more than half my block procur firearms for either home protection or hunting. Some more than one. So yes, I do ask my neighbors if they have a gun in the home and they all know wh...

Re: My employer posted 30.06
Someone else communicated earlier and it is worth duplication, the visitors are the only ones that need to be concerned with the posting of a correct 30.06. Employees however are under a completely seperate standard when it applies to their continued employment. I have seen a few employee handbooks ...

Re: Does having prior federal background checks help or hurt
I have a Federal Firearms License and it made no differnce on my time line for the CHL as it was processed in about the same amount of time as others applying when I got mine. Additionally, when I was in the military I was processed for my clearance (not specifying what level intentionally) and that...

Re: Political Correctness Gone Mad - Police Ad
It is my belief that the more these stories hit the media, the more outraged the general population will get and eventually the the setiment will change. Afterall how flexible can society get before something breaks......Once the tipping point arrives a new age of "political IN-correctness"...

Re: What's involved in getting a FFL?
You can run a business out of your home. In Houston your biggest problem will be getting around deed restrictions (as was my issue). I most of the Houston area zoning is not an issue. The process was sligthly time consuming but not difficult. I found the interview with the ATF to be easier than deal...
