Re: What firearm do you want to get next?
And while we're on the subject, can anyone recommend any good 9mm pocket guns? I'm partial to striker-fired (keeping my manual of arms the same) but I don't have anything against hammer-fired.

Yeah, I usually go to Lone Star in Lockhart, and they have both the S&W M&P Shield in 9mm and XDS in 9mm. I might rent them out next time I go.
A big contributing factor for me is also the amount of products that go well with the Shield though. Particularly my PHLster Skeleton appendix holster. I love the quality, but they only make it for Glock and M&P Shield.

Have you looked at the S.A. XDS line? Thin, light and good quality.
I have, but I haven't shot any of them. I think my boss has one in .40 (I'd prefer 9mm) if I can ever get him to come to the range with me.

Re: What firearm do you want to get next?
I don't really have issues concealing it. I carry my G19 at 1 o'clock in a PHLster Skeleton (appendix holster), and I carry an extra mag at 11 o'clock in an IWB holster to balance it out. I just think it would be nice to have something lighter for when I'm being more active. It usually takes several hours of being active for me to notice it becoming uncomfortable, so I feel that a lighter gun in a smaller package (width and length) would help with that. Haven't tried the G26 yet, but I've shot the Shield and it felt great. My only minor complaint being the trigger.drjoker wrote:Don't understand. It's the thickness that is hard to conceal. G26 n g19 are the same thickness. Explain?mr1337 wrote:For me, a shotgun of some sorts. Probably a 20 gauge so the wife can shoot it easily as well. 12 gauge will have to wait.
Or a proper rifle-length upper for my AR-15 lower. Have a 7.5" barrel on it now, and the sound and fireball is too obnoxious to shoot for any extended period of time.
Or a S&W M&P Shield for something a little smaller to CC. Glock 19 is great and all, but sometimes gets uncomfortable.
