When I called the DPS, the agent said they had not received my info yet when she looked and to wait the entire 8 weeks, however I do believe that just her entering my info in the system to check up expedited the process, because within 24hrs they had my info. hopefully I'll be on the famous wally walk before the end of the month :txflag: :patriot:

That is the right number. People have continually tried calling, and some have had luck reaching an actual person. I'm not sure if you'll be able to get someone's direct extension once you reach a person, but getting their direct email address seems to be the norm (if you get someone who will help. It's a crap shoot.)
So I called the number (512) 424-7284 and as soon as it connects press 1, then its going to default to a prerecorded message which hangs up on you.. AS soon as you hear that prerecorded message press 1 again and it will put you on hold to talk to a rep, instead of just hanging up on you. You can even set it up to have them call you when you're first in the queue. :cheers2:
--However when the lady called me back she said that they didnt have my info ... what the heck.. I mailed it off on the 4 of march... and I live 2 hours away by car... :grumble
---she told me to give it the full 8 weeks before calling back again, sike. see yall tomorrow :P
If anyone is looking for the fax number to resubmit their info, she gave it to me (512) 424-7284

Re: "Waiting Room"

Whats the rule of thumbs about calling the lovely ladies down at the Department of Public Safety? 40 days since mail-out?

Come And Take It wrote:If they received it, it will not post on the website for a minimum of "weeks". A maximum of months, if ever. You did not send the originals, did you? You should scan the originals and upload them to the website. At least then you would/should get an email saying they received your documents.
I mailed of my originals on March 4th, like a an idiot... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
however I did borrow my buddies scanner and i have digital copies of the originals in addition to hard copies.

How long after sending does the DPS normally take to update their website saying that they have received my info? I'm was being dumb when I told the woman at the Post Office that I wanted the cheapest shipping possible. Little did I know that I wouldn't be receiving a confirmation/tracking number... :banghead:

-not sure if this changes much but, I paid online and sent my package to the 'non-payment' address
-package was sent from Houston area 9 days ago :/
