Re: Always Carry
I wish I could carry 100% but my company policy is against guns at work & company vehicles. I tend to work in less than desirable areas from time to time as well. I do however have in my favor that I have a 6-8 inch full beard & look like it should be left alone. Funny thing is when we go o...

Re: Is it safe to pocket carry?
Everyone's pretty much already covered it. Get the right holster and it's fine. My daily method of carry is IWB, but when I'm just making a quick run to the store on the weekend or something like that, it's nice to be able to throw my TCP in a pocket and be done with it.
Re: I'm Out!
Good luck to you and your family! I can't say that I blame you. I've lived here all of my life, but I'm about fed-up with the traffic, the crowds, the heat, no rain, etc., etc.

Re: Best conceal holsters for the bigger guy
I'm a bigger guy (6'1", 258#), and I use an IWB hybrid holster: http://www.firearmholster.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; He's a one-man operation, so expect a few weeks or so to complete your order, but he's very accommodating. You can also remove the clips, and u...

Re: Church carry
:banghead: :banghead: honestly, it's the LEO's that keep getting it wrong I can second that. This past weekend, I was with a family member who is a LEO. We talk guns all of the time, so he knows I carry. We were going to visit another family member who is in a rehabilitation hospital. Before we wen...

Re: Ruger LCR now in 9mm
I've always thought that 9MM (or any rimless cartridge) revolvers were odd and interesting. On one hand, it might be a hassle to have to use moon clips, but on the other hand, they also help with reloading. .38 Special isn't too hard to find in my area, but there's always a greater selection of 9MM ...

Re: Online Protest of Businesses that post 30.06
I think it is a bad idea. In my opinion, it will bring more public visibility to the statutory requirements for effective notice resulting in more enforceable signs going up and in more unenforceable postings being replaced with enforceable signs and will result in few reversals. It can, be done (T...

Re: Consumer Reports Begging For Donations
I have been a reader for over 25 years. I used to have great faith in their revues but no longer. They have become a left wing progressive magazine pushing Obamacare and other progressive social agenda items. Their medical revues have defects and when I wrote them a letter complaining about their i...

Re: Little neighborhood hoodlums...
This is serious business here, not like ding-dong ditch or toilet papering. Somebody could have been injured or possibly killed because of this. I'm afraid this is what happens when kids don't fear their parents any longer. One of the kids was not available because he was at a friends house?!?! If I...

Re: AMC 30 Gulfpoint (SE Houston) now legal 30.06
AMC's are usually the ghetto theaters around here anyways, so I avoided them before I had my license. Funny how a lot of posted places are like that. Grapevine Mills mall is getting pretty seedy, too. It's posted plain as day, but all I remember thinking the last time I was there was "I sure wi...

Re: Whole Foods Markets Posting 30.06 Signs
Taking your business elsewhere is your right. I say, in order to get the point across, tell the management why you are not doing business with them. This can be done in a calm, and polite manner without creating a scene, something the OC folks seem to forget. The thing is, they don't care about you...

Re: The Venerable C-130
It's one of those machines like the B-52. No reason to replace it, because there's nothing that will do the task any better. The C-130 is what they use to ferry supplies to the research stations in Antarctica; jets cannot operate in such cold weather. I have a brother-in-law who was in the Air Force...

Re: Cheaper Than Dirt & the ol Bait And Switch??
This and their funky separate warehouse pricing strikes me as odd and sometimes disingenuous. Yeah, that whole setup just seems like a shell game to me. What exactly are these "warehouses", and why is the same item in a different warehouse priced differently? Way too many other, more tran...

Quote "Nothing at all except the fact that she, like lots of folks when not expecting someone to call, answer the door with a gun in hand." I don't know about y'all, but I'm not in the habit of answering the door with a gun in my hand - maybe on my hip but not in my hand. And if I ever di...

Re: Whole Foods Markets Posting 30.06 Signs
The Sprouts stores up here are all posted (correct font size, bilingual, right down the line). I don't shop there or at Whole Foods, but this is a worrying trend. I hate to say it, but I'm afraid some of the open carry mental midgets might be to blame for this. All it takes is a few sheeple to get s...
