Re: Federal Judge blocks CA magazine ban

can someone please explain how this new California magazine law is not considered an "ex post facto" law? It's not an ex post facto law unless someone can be punished for having possessed such a magazine before the law's effective date. I assume that is not the case with this law. That's ...

Re: IF They're Only for Militia, Let's Be Militia!

Someone else already pointed out, but it seems people are ignoring it. By federal codes you are already militia (unless you are old or a woman). You can read about the history of the militia by reading the various militia acts. The most recent was the militia act of 1903 https://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Re: Road Rage Approached Driver With A Bat...

i think if you get out of your car to confront the person then end up shooting them you are going to jail. Getting out of your car escalates the situation. If someone starts to attack your car DRIVE AWAY. if you have to hit someone elses car to do it, then do it. If you are surrounded by cars so you...

Re: How Should This Confrontation Be Handled?

you should always leave enough space between you and the vehicle in front for you to escape. There is a youtube video from south america where the bad guys are in the car in front. The front car stops suddenly and the guys get out and carjack the car behind which cannot escape because the rear car s...

Re: 300 Bllack-Out Feed Back Requested Please

IWI has released a 300 blk conversion kit for the Tavor. Also Sig MCX can be converted to a 300 black with a barrel and rod change. Both of those rifles are piston. That's good information, thanks. Unfortunately, I've already registered the SBR for an AR lower, so for this build I'm committed to th...

Re: Anyone Own a Glock 42?

for pocket carry I prefer the kahr cm9. I had a glock 42, switched to the cm9 and now have a glock 43.

The kahr was awesome, I just wanted the same maintenance etc. for my carry and other pistols.

Re: 300 Bllack-Out Feed Back Requested Please

I mainly shoot 300 blackout supers for hogs (omega suppressor and specwar 762). It works great at short ranges (under 200 yards) I like it out of an SBR.. (10 inches is about ideal) so if you can, SBR the 300 blk. You can run it as a pistol until the tax stamp comes in. I like barnes vortx 110 or ta...

Re: Who has been approached at a gas station with someone begging for money?

The beggar isn't the only thing to worry about. You also need to remember their only job may be to distract you from the other person stealing from within your car while you're busy fending off the request for money. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjkghjJ55BU And what makes it easy for them to pul...

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry

The Perot Museum has posted, another place my family enjoyed. Top Golf... another place that posted 30.06 after OC became a discussion. We have even seen gas stations posting in our area. Sprout's grocery posted when OCT began doing their marches and going into businesses... Great that you have not...

Re: Condo complex posting 30.06 and 30.07

That's my understanding also (can't prohibit an owner). You OWN the property (co-own, in the case of common property). However, like having an employer, that doesn't mean that your board couldn't punish you for breaking the "rules", which an entirely different basket.. And HOAs (inc Condo...

Condo complex posting 30.06 and 30.07

Im familiar with the chiarini case. What other case law is out there? Condo association just posted 30.06 and 30.07. Im an owner so it seems like because Im an owner of the shared property I should be able to carry regardless of 30.07 & 30.06 being posted. I know I can carry to/from my vehicle, ...

remora has a version with a belt clip. This would qualify as a belt holster.
