Re: November waiting
Very good to hear about the Shield ! I have read a TON of online reviews of it and they all seem to be great, but want to shoot one first just to make sure. I handled one at the Range gun shop when qualifying for my CHL and I was very impressed with it ! Also I know what you mean about round count in the magazine, but.....cant have everything. Thanks for the real world feedback geeman99.geeman99 wrote:I just got back from the range where I shot my newly purchased S&W M&P Shield 9mm for the first time...and it shoots VERY sweet! Very nice trigger action (though it's a little lighter than I prefer), handles recoil VERY nicely and shoots VERY accurately. Wished the mag held more than 8 rounds, but that's the price to pay for the slim frame. I highly recommend the Shield.STRONGNUFF wrote:New update this morning to " Mailed" !
I must admit that it takes forever for the first update, but after that it moves along pretty fast.
Time get purchase a new CC gun, been eying the S&W Shield .40
I also shot my recently purchased S&W 380 bodyguard (also for the first time)...and was not very impressed. Didn't like the DAO trigger action (hard and unpredictable) and I had 1 failure to fire, 1 stove pipe and 2 failures to load in just 80 rounds fired. I realize the gun is new, but I've never had ANY gun with that many functional problems in only 80 rounds in my life! I may not keep the 380 Bodyguard - right now, I can't depend on it.

Re: November waiting
Same here, sent mine certified Mail. They signed and received it Nov 12th and still no update online. I called there last week and was told they have all my paperwork but that they are very behind and that I can expect to wait till the end of March before I get it in the mail. Oh well, could be worse lolahtoxa wrote:I submitted the application on Nov 11th and all of the paperwork on Nov 23rd. Still not a single update.
Anyone else waiting with me? Seems that early to mid-November folks are getting theirs now....

Re: November waiting
Well I called today as its been 72 days since they received it and still no update. I was told, "yes we have all of your paperwork but its going to be another 45 to 60 days until you get it in the mail" I also asked about status updates, she said " it will get updated when we have time to". So the wait continues.........
