Re: What gun would you suggest for wife?
I agree that she needs to start on something she thinks is fun! The caliber doesn't matter much. I have a nice assortment of guns, but one of my favorites to shoot at the range is a Bersa Thunder 380 Plus. Shots soft, not very noisy, and since it's a double stack, I don't have to reload as much. I r...

I just got a belly band from The Well Armed Woman. My plan was to use it while running, but it's so comfortable. I can wear shorts and a polo shirt and not print at all. It doesn't move, and the band is actually comfortable. Just another option for you.

Re: Need advice for new handgun
I don't think you can go wrong with either. Carried a Glock 19 for years (many years ago) and loved it. It was my duty weapon, and I never had one problem with it. Currently I own two of the smaller guns. I couldn't resist the new Glock 42 since I had been so fond of the 19. I also have a M&P Sh...

Beretta Nano? Nice little 9mm. Not sure how she'd feel about the recoil as everyone's idea is different.

Re: One for the Ladies
Thanks! A friend and I were talking about this very picture this morning. She had seen shown it to her husband and mentioned how she loved the color. Being teachers, anything with the word gun is blocked on our internet so I hadn't seen it.

Re: Gander Mountain Arlington
As everyone else has said, way overpriced. My husband and I checked it out today and some saying many things were $100 more is not an overstatement. I was able to find .380 and 9mm ammo in a large variety. That was one plus. Not the cheapest, but in stock beats not at all.

As SassedandLoaded mentioned, I love The Well Armed Woman. I have ordered the IWB holster and The Betty from there. I love them both.

Re: Greetings and questions.
The others have given excellent advice. I think renting a few guns at the range is a great idea. I personally carry a Ruger 9mm, a Ruger 38, or my new favorite a Bersa Thunder Plus 380. It all depends on where I'm going or what I'm doing. I'm confident in the stopping power of the 380, but many aren...

I don't have the flashbang but ordered "The Betty" and it was delivered this week for my Bersa Thunder. Very comfortable holster!
Love the idea of the Flashbang, but I can't wrap my head around drawing from my that area.

Re: November waiting
Gary's update is depressing me. I got a hold of them by phone as well today. I was told they were working on the first week of Nov. and I should have mine within 14 days. They received my paperwork 11/4. Now I wonder if she was just buying them more time. She also mentioned that most likely I would ...

They are only entering early to mid October apps right now. You're not doing yourself any favors by calling, except driving up hold times for everyone else. It is what it is & they are super swamped & have been since September. They're also a state agency- it literally takes congress approv...
