Re: Show your DIY Ideas and Projects
I used furniture sliders that have foam built into them so I can clamp almost anywhere. The vise end I drilled 24 holes total & used T nuts in them all, the adjustments are every 2". I put some thought into it but not a whole lot.

My upper is an A3 so I did as many others had & use cutting board to sandwich the upper in the vise while I torqued it. I couldn't find an upper jig during the hight of the AR scare.corbmonster wrote:[ Image ]
Not as cool as others DIY, or other DIY I've done. But This is my first lower build, and I don''t have space for a work bench. I've read of many people building a platform for people to stand on while they torque down the barrel nut. So I build one.

You know there will be a lot of interest in these. I like it.lfinsr wrote:Here's a piece of acrylic I cut this evening. This is the second try and it turned out good enough that I'll probably build a mount for it. 1/2" acrylic cut on a home-built CNC with a 60° V-bit. I cut it .010" deep and it looks like it should have been about 1/2 that deep. Oh well, live and learn.

Those clips are sale right now, or at least they were last night. 1.99 each seems to be a pretty good deal. I need to make it by their show room at some point.drjoker wrote:
I bought all the materials from Tandy Leather. Cost is $64, not including cost of tools. The belt clips alone are $8, Item #1240-24.
