The section you refer to covers 51% establishments.

In a 51% establishment, you can not carry whether it is posted or not. It is supposed to be posted, but even if the owner fails to post it, you can still get in trouble for carrying there. How you are supposed to know it is 51% is beyond me but that is the way the law is written.

But the Alamo Draft House is not a 51% establishment. So the correct section of law is 30.06. And undeer this section, if the sign is non-compliant it is not enforceable.

They can still verbally notify you that you can't carry there, but if your gun is concealed how would they know?

Is it averaged over a year, monthly, weekly??
If they happen to have a record day of sales, but not normally above 51%, does that justify posting?

In this case, it doesn't matter. They didn't post a 51% sign, they posted 30.06 signs.

Any place can post 30.06 signs, for any reason or for no reason at all.

You can't miss a 51% sign. It has "51%" watermarked over the text in very large print.

Now it appears that the 30.06 signs posted in the picture are technically not compliant with the law, but that is another matter.
