Re: Gun 'mistakes' in Books, TV, and Movies - feel free to post your own

Off-topic and not a mistake, but watched Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (Jack Reacher 2) last night and saw a bit of trivia. At about the 50-minute mark, the TSA agent with a flashlight in his hand and checking passengers' tickets is Lee Child, the author of the Jack Reacher series. I don't know when ...

New sights recommendation for S&W Shield

I have a new Shield 9mm Performance center edition, and I really want to change the sights on it. I have a Sig P238 and it has the Sig night sights, and those things glow bright in dark, and I wan the same type of sights for the Shield. If anyone can offer suggestions about what type to get, I would...

I just found some more crazy gun mistakes. . . in this novel, Man in the Middle by Brian Haig - the protagonist is talking about silencers, and a suicide victim; "Even If the pistol, which was a Glock 17 Pro, a specialty model, and is expensive and usually has to be imported . . . had been his,...

I found another mistake in another novel. The title of the book is: Walk into Silence and features cops here in Dallas. At one point the cop finds out that the husband of the murdered woman bought his wife a gun that she ended up being murdered with. The cop asks the guy, "Was the gun registere...

Re: Gun 'mistakes' in Books, TV, and Movies - feel free to post your own

Found another good 'mistake' in a movie that I watched last night. The movie is 'Reclaim' with John Cusack. Not a bad movie. The movie is set in Haiti, and involves a man and his wife adopting a baby, and they pay $100k for the baby, and then find out it's a scam because John Cusak, the bad guy, has...

Re: Has Anyone Used Magguts Before?

I have them for my Shield 9mm my Glock 43 and they all seem to work just perfectly, although when I was putting them into the mags I thought the springs were not tight enough and I thought that the base plates were flimsy and would fall out, but I haven't had a single issue

Re: VA:Woman blasts drone to smitherines over her property

I wouldn't shoot it down, but I would use some sort of device that throws a net up and over it, and 'capture' it. Then I would 'sell' it back to the original owner. I would not be using any 'firearm' illegally to capture it. Also; I would 'disassemble' it before I allowed the owner to place a bid on...

I plan on writing a spoof novel intentionally filled with gaffes, anachronisms, errors, etc. concerning firearms. I will send a copy to Hillary.

DON'T do that! LOL. . . she will believe every word of it as gospel!

Re: S&W Shield 9mm question

I have both. Bought the reg version (in 9mm) 3 years ago, and have 3500 rounds through it, not one single problem ever. I put talon grips and XS big dots sights on it. wish I hadn't changed the sights. The stock sights were a bitch to get off. So much so that I will gladly pay, from now on if I ever...

the NEW Sig Sauer .45 acp revolver?

Just reading a novel and in the action scene, good guy hands his friend a gun to use in what they expect to be an upcoming gunfight. here is how the author describes the gun. He opened the glove compartment and removed a blue-steel revolver. "This is a Sig Sauer .45 caliber," he explained ...
