They dare and do because for the most part they are elitists who believe they are beter than us. They are, again for the most part, able to afford or are afforded security that we are not offered. Also, unlike the Brady's, many have never ben faced with an immediate threat that could have been resolved by the appropriate application of force, speecifically the presence of a firearm.

I have no idea why the Brady's are not focusing on the criminals since who knows how many existing laws were broken by what's his name, much less the fact he tried to assassinate Reagan.

What really boggles my mind is none of this should be happening at all. I am sure the Second Amendment mention my owning a gun shall not be infringed upon..... how did the Infringers do that?
