With the Court's strong language about handguns being the overwhelming choice for self-defense, any attempt to ban semi-autos would likely be struck down as well. Semi-autos are also the overwhelming choice for self-defense. I doubt that one would even get to the Supreme Court. The DC Court would take care of that one and the Supremes wouldn't hear it.
