I really do not understand what the big deal is about private businesses having a gun buster or no gun sign.

They mean nothing to a CHL in Texas and you can walk right in.

Concealed is concealed, right?

I doubt very seriously if it is an insurance requirement. if it was, most businesses would be posting, and most would be 30.06 compliant, because insurance companies are run by lawyers, and lawyers tend to read laws.

The only businesses that really seem to have a handle on 30.06 are hospitals, and I would be willing to bet that most hospitals have very good lawyers.

I have stated before that Texas has more gunbuster signs than pretty much any place I travel. I do not think it is lawyers.

Not wanting to sound negative, but I think it is ignorance of facts on the part of those who hang them.

The way this thread is headed, the only firearms that gunbuster signs keep from entering establishments are those carried by valid CHL holders who use it as a reason to feel excluded when they really shouldn't.

Just my devalued $.02 worth.
