Re: Quick application question

Yes. Helping my son fill out his application on-line.

So it would seem my question still stands. Why does the application state have you ever been "charged with a crime?" Technically aren't you "charged with a crime" when you are issued a speeding ticket? or a parking ticket? I don't remember it being phrased that way when me and my wife applied for our CHL.

We have already completed his application and submitted his chl-100 form. I am just really curious about why the state would be this ambiguous on this question. I went by what I have always understood which is they are looking for any arrest. (of which there wasn't any BTW)

Re: Quick application question

No photo or prints taken. Only a ticket was issued! $300 fine and alcohol awareness class required.

so how should the question be answered?

Quick application question

Applying for my 21 year old son. He has never been arrested but does have a Minor in Possession of alcohol. The criminal history question reads have you ever been arrested or charged with a crime.

He was merely issued a ticket for the MIP.

How does that need to be answered in this case?
