Re: My New Carrier Revolver and an Addition to my Gun Bench
Very nice! I have the .357 LCR and it's a great gun, very smooth trigger. I want a .327 version as well as a .22 LR and .22 Magnum as well. I love being able to carry it in my pocket (in a pocket holster) as well as throw it in an IWB and OWB holster.

Re: Texas State Fair Carry Rules
Yall should message the East Texas State Fair and let them know that an auto show would greatly increase your interest.... :cheers2: :tiphat: I think there might be confusion about what you are and are thinking. I'm talking about a manufacturers auto show and not a car show put together with local ...

I'll add, I do not plan on going to the Fair in the foreseeable future. There was probably a 20 year span I didn't go to the Fair. I only go for the auto show and food.

Sigh. Sadly yes. They still have not explained how an unauthorized person got in last yearcyphertext wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 7:20 am I think they would argue that the ban did work since the shooting was “outside” the fair grounds.

Re: Mean streets of Dallas - Unprovoked attack on woman in downtown
Worst was the bystanders keep on walking. And when the DPD hunts down the attacker, John Creuzot will just give him an award for best swing or something. I saw the bystanders just keep walking. Unbelievable. Reminds me of this story I read this past summer. I hate walking around downtown. Unfortuna...

Re: One more reason to avoid Academy
Pretty sure Academy pulled AR's off their shelf a couple of years back. I have no need to step into an Academy unless it's an emergency like when I'm traveling and need something I forgot. Like last year when I was in San Antonio for a training class and it was raining and I forgot my waterproof boo...

Re: Texas State Fair Carry Rules
I hope cooler heads prevail and this gets turned back. I hadn't been to the fair in over 20 years up until 6 or so years ago. I mainly go for the car show, the food, and to check out some exhibits. I go during the week and get there in the morning to avoid the weekend and night crowds. And I the DAR...

Re: EDC flashlight
I have the Surefire Tactician and it's a great tactical light that can be used in a pinch as an EDC as it has a useful dual output level. It's not cheap and I think the UI is a little quirky with having to twist the head to change the output level. But it's got a great beam pattern especially within...

Re: Conceal Carrying AK And AR Pistols
LOL! Very hard to keep a serious face while watching this video. I'll admit, I'm surprised someone can conceal an AR/AK pistol like that. Frankly, I'd like to see him try to defend himself in a hurry.

Re: pocket pistol ideas?
Thanks Jose, that .22LR LCP II is the one I was pocketing during her rehab. While I enjoyed it, I want a larger caliber. I have a 642 in .38 special and could carry that. I just wish it had boot grips. The grips it came with are the three fingered wood ones. It pokes out of my jeans pockets. If I c...

Re: pocket pistol ideas?
I have a Ruger LCP II in .22 LR and an LCR in .38/.357 for pocket pistols. I use them mostly in a belly band when I go to the gym and can't carry my normal EDC, a full size Glock. In other situations, in my pocket as either a backup or when I may not need a full size gun. Great BUG's. The LCP II in ...

Re: Seeking Holosun Advice
One thing to add on my experience with the 509T on my Gen 3 Glock 17 that's milled for an RMR. I'm using the C&H plate and have Ameriglo Suppressor Height Sights, I'm only getting a lower 1/3 view of them. Not really liking it, but it's workable. Really need to do some practicing with the dot off.
