Yes it is. You get recognition for it on your license as "Veteran" under where it says Concealed Handgun License. Thank you for your service brother and happy carrying!

Unless something has changed since April, you can get "Veteran" on your TX driver's license, but NOT on your CHL, because I renewed both back in April and that's the way it was then. Got in put on DL, but not on CHL.

It has changed since then, sir. It was in effect as of Sept. 1, 2013.

I sent mine in Sept. 3 and got plastic in October and it did not include "Veteran" on it.

Ok...not trying to beat a dead horse but I did some checking and TX HB 572 never made it to a vote. I would like to hear from anyone that already has their CHL with the veteran designation on it, please. I'm not calling anyone liars on here, just maybe mis-informed. I appoligize in advance if I am wrong. I'm just the kind that needs proof and not what someone heard. Thanks!

I applied in the middle of last month received it this past Monday. I applied as a Veteran, not while I was still in Active Duty.
