I understand both sides. First off you have a suspicious individual who is frequently camped outside your property. The fact that he is a PI doesn't mean that he is a good guy, it just means that he hasn't been caught doing anything too bad. On the other hand speedsix is right, he probably is a good guy and if something were to happen he would more than likely be an asset. I can also understand the concern that some folks might think that you helped him by letting him park there when you couldn't keep him away. Now for some reason you still don't trust him, and it maybe something valid that your subconscious picked up on, so I would take extra care to protect yourself and the family.
