Re: FN AR

travclem: Be careful being around your buddy when he's taking his out. Thats what caused me, and one of my hunting buddies, to get ours. Our mutual hunting buddy went to your town, Lubbock, and came back with one. Within a month the other two of us got one.

Re: FN AR

I have seen the FN ARs with the light barrel for the $1299, but I have not seen the heavy barrel at that. I currently have 2 additional 20rd mags on back order, and a 5rd mag does not exist as far as my suppliers are concerned as they do not have an order number/product code/SKU/what ever you want to call it. I would love to get a couple of 5rd mags in case I get to go deer hunting in NM. But for Feral hogs the 20rd works well enough.

Re: FN AR

I got a super deal on mine, but you can find them for around $1450 like mine(Heavy barrel) or so if you look hard enough.

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The only weapon known to share mags with it is the FN SCAR. There are rumors of the gun being able to use AR-10 and/or DPMS LR-308 mags but that is incorrect. The magwell can be removed from the rifle quite easily so I can imagine an aftermarket magwell being developed to allow people to use more readily available mags.

Re: FN AR

Its chambered for 7.62x51 (also supports the .308 Winchester), features a 20" barrel, 1:12 twist rate, 20 round magazine, and weighs about 9 lbs. The trigger breaks cleanly a hair over 3.5 lbs, and its accurate to an uncanny level. Me and my hog hunting friends have picked up one each.

FN AR

I am one of three people in my operating area who managed to get his greedy hands on an FN AR. The action cycles so smooth its not even funny. The trigger is sweet, and the gun hits with enough force to stop any pig (feral) that is unfortunate enough to be seen in the scope.Image
