I don't know about you but an untrained shooter who was rejected by the school shooting team taking a 130 yard head shot with iron sights on a hot metal roof and clipping the targets ear while knowing that the moment he pressed the trigger that he was signing his death warrant is pretty impressive. Was it skill or luck? Who knows. The history that we are hearing says it would be luck but he may have had some form of performance anxiety when the reported bad shooting incidents happened. Then again we can't discount luck because it and God saved Trump.

The counter sniper team was not Secret Service, but local LEOs if I understand it correctly. It is possible that they believed the shooter was from the Secret Service or another agency based on his position (It's a position I would have assigned a team to, even if it was just to secure the location, if I was in charge of security).
