Re: My wife is awesome, and gave me an awesome birthday pre
I finally got to shoot it last week. the double action is just as i expected - horrible, and it shoots a little to the left. I've been carrying it in a remora holster and i'm pretty happy with it. it's a little lighter, even with 18 rounds of 9mm, than my Stoeger Cougar 8045. http://i445.photobucket...

Nice.... wife & gun! I have not seen that model but I am mildly familiar with Canik actually. I think they will be a company watch actually. Supposedly high quality production standards as they are 9001 certified and other certifications I can't remember. There is a model sold at Aim surplus I'...

My wife is awesome, and gave me an awesome birthday present
It's a Canik 55 Shark-FC. A clone, of a clone if you will. Hard Chrome finish, cold hammer forged ported barrel, chambered in 9x19. it came with 2 15 round Mec-Gar mags, but 19 rounders are available for it(takes CZ75 mags) http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq180/cbray1_album/IMG_20140608_150205.jp...

I accidentally made my company re-write their weapons policy
A few months ago I approached one of the executive members of our associate relations group in HR to get a clarification of the weapons policy for my company. My company is a large clothing retailer, so I needed to know if i was restricted from carrying on my off hours when I was patronizing our sto...

Re: Momentum Volkswagen Dealerships
I have no intention of not carrying for just that reason. If they are posted, I won't be wasting my time shopping with them. It will make things interesting since there aren't really any other VW specific dealers in the area but that's the way it goes. I just went through the process of getting my ...

Re: i drew my weapon tonight
From a legal standpoint is it advisable to give your side of the report to the officer without your lawyer present? I see that it worked out fine in this situation, but if the officer had believed the aggressor's side of the story and charged kingpinGT it could have been used against him later. May...

Re: i drew my weapon tonight
My question is what were the sides of the road like? Were there yards or walls or trees or what lining the road? Sure, the home owners there might not have liked it much if the OP would've used their yard to escape, but there are worse things that they could've had to deal with. I think the OP did ...

Re: i drew my weapon tonight
Very interesting read. read almost all of this and I am new to it all. I have one comment about some posts that state "the aggressor left his weapon when he left his car". How do you know he was not carrying a weapon as well? In my CHL class I saw a picture of a horrific Knife attack on w...

Re: i drew my weapon tonight
I just got the report from MoCo sherriff. First, case was closed by the responding officer. secondly, the dude said nothing about coming to a stop and blocking the road in front of me. he told the officer that he was peacefully passing me and then i opened my door and waved a gun around and told him...

It's definitely good that everything turned out well, kudos for not being confrontational yourself and just trying to stop the problem advancing. My concern with saying I'm armed in a situation like this is it almost seems like you potentially help the BG. What if he too has a gun but doesn't have ...
