Re: No longer a fan of The Bullet Trap

I also own a gun range in the Austin area. (Lone Star Gun Range) We have to draw the line somewhere with so many people hording ammo. If we do not have ammo we don't have public shooters, we can't hold classes and we go out of business. I understand the purchase a firearm you should be able to get some ammo on the day of the purchase. You should also always be able to purchase defense ammo if it is in stock. As far as FMJ...range ammo...target practice(somewhere else) no. If you aren't using it at our range during the current crises then why should we sell it. What most individuals don't understand is we have the SAME problem getting ammo. We can't get it any easier than you can and our lively hood depends on it. We currently have "some" ammo we will allow to leave the range due to our recent ability to get more in. Other ammo we won't to insure we have it for range use and another thing most of you have forgotten CLASSES. Many ranges teach both security officer classes and CHL classes. What happens when someone shows up for a class and couldn't get ammo at Wal-Mart and we sold it to a guy to "take" home and keep for a later date and no longer have it??? They don't get to qualify and we don't get the business. Just realize they decided to lose your sale and the profit from it on that box of ammo. Don't you think there might have been a bigger picture and bigger issue? We all want the income to live and survive. Thankfully we all are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel at least for now. Safe shooting all!
Matt
