Re: How to report improper §30.06 signs
I will freely admit that I didn't read this entire thread, but I have a question. I work in a public school. I know that it is illegal for me to carry at work without very specific approval. (I don't carry at work either) However, the school at which I last worked had signs meeting the requirements ...

Re: Carrying after submitting a change of address request
I did the DL change of address the day before I did the CHL. Want to guess which one got to my door first? It was NOT the DL!

Carrying after submitting a change of address request
A couple of weeks ago, I moved to a new house. I have submitted a request for a change of address for my CHL. I have also changed my address on my drivers license. Can I legally carry while I'm waiting for my new card to come in?

Re: Violate Promise to Appear
I had a similar situation. Failure to appear on a traffic violation, however, I was eventually arrested for it. I called DPS before I applied and asked. The person to whom I spoke said that I MUST list or risk denial due to failure to disclose. I listed. When I applied, I didn't have a final disposi...

Re: Carry at holiday parties
I just don't buy all the "absolute" posts... No gray or other options. Concealed is concealed. If I can't Carry I don't go. Unless they post a sign or specifically tell me I carry whether they like it or not. Let me throw out this hypothetical. Your mom hates guns. Always has. As a kid yo...

Re: Alcohol & your CHL
Then again, I am not a big drinker. I was given a bottle of Jack Daniels two years ago... MOST of it is still in the bottle. I also bought a 12 pack of Shiner in May.... and there is still a beer in my fridge! A bottle of JD does make a nice counter top decoration. But a 12 pack of Shiner...

Re: Alcohol & your CHL
Mind you, I am a newbie to carrying (about 2 months now) but I am the father of 5. I don't have a drink while I am out because I am driving my kids, or my wife, or just me. I won't impair my judgement with a vehicle. I feel the same about carrying... even if I am not driving, I wouldn't have a drink...

Re: Compliance
I'm not sure than non-musicians would understand but I'm practicing to perform a Bach orchestral work. The notes in it fly by quickly. There is but one fleeting instant in time for each note to be correctly played and if that note occurs after that point, it is wrong. 4 of those notes (16ths) have ...

Re: First Time Today!!!!!
When I turned in my TW set top box I stood at the door knocking.... they thought it had accidentally been locked. A guy ran up to the door and pushed it open. I handed him the box and asked him to bring me a receipt, as I had cancelled my service. He said come on in and I said I couldn't due to the...
