A “surge team” was sent to the panhandle last week and most all the meat packing plant workers were tested. On the 15th Amarillo alone reported 734 new cases, I suspect this is the main reason for Texas’ large increases in number of cases.

In the photo I posted, the stainless steel structures closest to the camera are gates, not scanners. Apparently when operational they will allow entry into store but not exit, forcing you to exit through a check out aisle. My local Walmart recently did a refresh and added these gates at the entries, not sure what purpose they serve but maybe they are what is being mistaken for metal detectors?

Ruts of the Santa Fe Trail are clearly visible on Google Earth (and in person at ground level) across NE New Mexico. It is not one single set of ruts. N36.654311° , W103.190759°

I have never been, but there are places along the Canadian River bottom north of Amarillo that people go to legally target shoot.

Lubbock PD had stopped him earlier as suspect when gun was reported stolen, but didn’t have probable cause to search.
