I would suggest staying at the hotel that is hosting your class. Support them just as they are supporting you. Also, you will meet many good people that are becoming instructors just like yourself. This is where you begin to network and build friendships that will benefit you and others in the future. Most all instructors are there to help you as evidenced by this board.
