Re: Welcome / Just Saying Hi

UPDATE:

Mission: Wally Walk
Status: COMPLETE

So I finally got my holster (Galco KingTuk) in the mail a few days ago. And finally did the Wally Walk. It felt pretty darn good. I did have the jitters but I'm sure they will pass with time. I felt like everyone was looking at me and kept checking to make sure my pistol was still there, haha. So it was a successful first time out and I even picked up some beer while I was there. :woohoo

No wally walk yet, but soon enough.

How did the wally-walk go?
I haven't done the walk yet. I bought a new pistol on Friday for carry. Now I'm just waiting for my holster to arrive. Once the holster arrives I'll swing by Wally World. :anamatedbanana

This is the blace to learn a lot. Let me ask you how did you survive the wait without venting on the Waiting Room area??? "rlol"
I like the way the Mods & Uncle Charles step in once in a while!!! Those dude have a lot of experience and are a great help! :tiphat:
IM new to CHL too.
Well I stalked the 'Waiting Room' for a couple of months just seeing how others were doing. It took me from 2/4 to 6/28 to get my CHL. We had some document mix-ups and confusion and then with my waiting forever my application expired again (90+ days) and then I had to call in and talk with a supervisor to get everything hashed out. After we had everything sorted out it took about a week to get my card in the mail. DPS is really helpful if you get the right people.

Re: Welcome / Just Saying Hi

I live in Austin. I guess I should update my profile huh ;)

Some history?

Well if you want a good laugh. I applied (filled out the application & paid) for my CHL 3 times in 6 years. I wasn't aware of the 90 expiration limit and of course I was never serious about getting it. I guess that's why they say 'third times a charm'.

Regardless, I'm finally a CHL holder and it's a great feeling and it's good to be apart of such a knowledgeable and friendly community.
