Re: Renewal Time Very Quick
Renewal time very quick ... not in my experience. Submitted renewal online on 4/2. After phone calls to both DPS and State Representative, finally went print pending on 6/2. I figure it will take another 120 days or so for printing and mailing. Update: www to mailbox 68 days, needs improvement, cer...

Re: 2017 Wait time
Renewal application at 45 day mark today. Fingerprints and background check "under review", license "print pending ..." on the site. No letter from DPS requesting additional info. No new plastic in mailbox.I'll be calling in the morning for status, then most likely calling my sta...

Re: Academy and Buying Ammo and carded?
Purchased a glock 43 today. Noticed AR type rifles had been pulled from the rack and placed in boxes in the cages below. Joked about Academy trying to start another panic, and I that remember the unpleasantness from the previous panics. Was informed that they can be viewed and sold upon request ... ...

Re: Winchester M22 ammo
They work well in a Ruger SR22 and a 10/22. I have shot up three or four bricks of it, no memorable issues, just the usual 22lr problems. I stood in lines at the Academy and bought half a dozen bricks around the time of the recall, checked the numbers, they were all good to go.

Re: Here we go again
Anybody have any good ideas for Open Carry 2017 t-shirts? Yes. Don't make nor wear one at all. Open carry is ultimate red herring and wedge issue within the pro-gun crowd. No one can really articulate a reason why it is so necessary or important (other than "because: rights" or "beca...

Re: Unpleasant encounter with Rosenberg LEO
StrangeBulge, I would have a respectful talk with her Chief. If she's that tense, what would've happened if you too had gotten shrill and obnoxious, especially given her unjust treatment of you...? Yes, it ended up o.k., due it sounds like mainly because YOU were cool, calm and professional, rather...

Unpleasant encounter with Rosenberg LEO
Headed home from early voting, noticed Rosenberg PD cruiser passing cars behind me, exceeding the 30 mph speed limit , other moving violations, no lights no siren. Once directly behind me she hit the lights and the siren. I pulled into a parking lot, put the car in park, rolled down all four windows...

Glock 17 Shirt not tucked, Galco Triton with the loops not the clip.

GLock 26s in ankle holsters if I have to wear something that will not work with the full size.

Interesting ... but "very very fast" not even close. It seems that one has to develop a rhythm and drum on the trigger.

Re: Glock 3.5# Triggers
EDC is a gen4 glock 17 with NY1 trigger spring and a GHOSTINC Rocket that has been fitted to the gun with the Spaulding cut. Trigger parts polished to a mirror finish. End result a heavy (i don't have a scale), smooth, linear pull without the "wall" of the stock trigger before the break. O...
