Re: Government shutdown
Anygunanywhere, the House approved a bill, it went to the Senate, who approved it and sent it to the President, who refused to sign it. Whose fault is this?

Re: Government shutdown
Here are a couple of effects of Trump's shutdown: E-Verify is shutdown; you can't check the employment eligibility of new hires About 400,000 mission-critical workers, including many Law Enforcement, Bureau of Prisons, and Border Patrol, have to show up and work without knowing when they'll see a pa...

Re: Who has a Gander Outdoors store near them?
For what its worth, I took the Rifle Gear ad to Academy here in Houston. They didn't price match because they don't stock that pistol IN THE STORE. Like many of the pistols advertised on their website, the FN pistols are shipped to the store when they have a sale. The Academy website lists which sto...

"The allen head may just be for assembly, not adjustment... one would think if it was adjustable, he'd advertise that also."
It looks like he's giving Allen wrenches (they're in the photo) so they're probable not just for assembly. Or, maybe you vary the number of washers?

Went there yesterday. There is also a 30.07 sign at the movie theater, but no 30.06. Carry on!

Re: Anyone Here Ever Had A Baker's Cyst?
I had one inside my left knee, possible caused by being on crutches and favoring my broken right foot. It wasn't diagnosed until it burst, filling my left calf muscle with synovial fluid. At first, medical personnel thought I had deep vein thrombosis and did an ultrasound, which found what was happe...

Yes, a thumb break holster keeps the weapon from moving around as you move. I've used a Bianchi Model 19 for too many years to admit!

Are you thinking of Gary Lucario? Not exactly the Heights, just off Gulf Bank Road, east of I-45. 281-847-5732.

Re: Left eye dominance
I'm left-handed and right-eye dominant. When I learned to shoot, everyone shot right-handed, so that's what I learned. I got a lot of stares when I reloaded the revolver without passing it to my left hand, since it was easy to handle the fresh cartridges with my left hand. Now, I can shoot equally w...

Re: Mixing Guns and Alcohol Isn't Enough for Liability, Court Rules
The article is dated yesterday, and I just saw it today.
I posted it because I find it interesting (or scary) that a court would find that a host allowing backyard target shooting while drinking is taking place isn't an unsafe act.
I have always felt that alcohol and gunpowder don't mix.

Mixing Guns and Alcohol Isn't Enough for Liability, Court Rules
Who would have ever thought that alcohol and firearms could be dangerous in combination?

Technically, the transfer was from your father to Gander Mountain, presumably an FFL. He should maintain that record.
