Well, well, well! I went to the fair on Sunday and I carried.
For the first time in 4 years the turnstile attendant who used the wand found something and asked me to take everything out of my pockets. Maybe my complaints for the last three years made a difference.
Anyway I just showed him my CHL and he waved me through.
I think they must have adjusted the tuning.

For the last two years I have carried at the fair and was wanded at the turnstiles. In both cases the wand didn't alert and in both cases I went directly to the supervisor, showed them my CHL and filed a complaint for the worthless security measures there. If I can get through with a gun how many others do you think are on the grounds illegally.

Just called and confirmed with park police (Dallas Police) that chl carry is permitted.

The state fair website still states, under FAQS, that they are permitted with a valid CHL.
