Re: Noncompliance Kneecaps New Zealand's Gun Control Scheme
Liberty makes a good point. The guns become useless except for a hypothetical 'revolution'. You cannot compete with them, hunt with them and using it for self-defense will have all sort of risks of jury bias and charges for you as having the gun. You stand the risk of exposure if your ex decides to ...

These have little influence, sad to say. I doubt Donald will even hear of its existence, nor really get the point.

Re: Pelosi teases gun control emergency declaration by future Dem President
Don't be so sure that the Courts would block an executive order. In WWII, a clearly unconstitutional executive order to inter Japanese - American citizens was found to be constitutional by the Supreme Court. They said the emergency took precedents over the Constitution. Using an Emergency declaratio...

Re: Is it legal? Sign split in two...
Actually, most folks here have the mechanisms of perceiving something as white or black incorrect. However, the neurobiology isn't really relevant and I doubt will come up in court. An interesting issue is if you see a sign and do puzzle out that it is correct sign in terms of wording, I doubt your ...

Private universities - Trinity University has 30.06 signs on almost every building. However, they are non-compliant as they were very, very small as compared to the requirements.

Re: Knife Bills (HB 905 & HB 3884) in Jeopardy
Reading the bill, it also mentions firearms and ammo. It would seem to me then that the San Antonio local ordinance prohibiting loaded long arms in your vehicle is truly void. It was clearly against state law but SAPD would say that they would use the local ordinance pretty recently. This would seem...

Re: It's Not Just Gun Bills Being Stonewalled
Not to debate this issue but I see that Patrick had enough time and energy to go on to CNN to discuss a bill about marriage (that will go nowhere). I'm sorry to say that these folks don't understand that the carry bills are core issues for many and to be so incompetent to what should be easy passage...

Re: Whole Foods Gun Policy
I got a better look at the new sign. It's a weird one. It says that they have to post a sign saying that you cannot have a weapon the store unless you have a CHL. BUT - then it says that carry is forbidden under 30.06 even though they said it could be OK if licensed. However, this is no where near a...

Re: Whole Foods Gun Policy
A Nov. 7 update or not? The San Antonio WF on Blanco and 1604 has on it's main entrance - no 30.06 but new type of sign that says weapons are forbidden except if you have a CHL (not the old blue sign). I didn't check the other entrance to see if it still had a 30.06. If they did - that would be cont...

A follow up - the Central Market in San Antonio has take down its incorrect 51% signs. So to stroke my ego, perhaps my conversation with the manager or other inputs casued this!

The Central Market in San Antonio has posted a 51% sign. I talked to the manager to explain but he was saying that since they serve wine they need it. I've been too busy to call TABC. The manager said he would check and we will see.

The new WF in the Austin domain has a noncompliant sign. If they are springing up because of the OC Chipolte display - then those folks

Re: Angry at Sprouts!
I have just noticed their signs the other day in San Antonio, they went up over the weekend. Besides e-mailing them, I suggest facebook - https://www.facebook.com/SproutsFarmersMarket?ref=ts" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and yelp.com reviews. I talked to the local manager ...
